What is the model of green laser pointer that is easiest to modify?

I have a laser pointer with a green beam, but in spite of what I've read, I can't for the life of me get the end cap off. Now I remember reading an article and it says don't use the model with a power on indicator LED. Use the model without this indicator. They even listed a specific and model or green laser pointer. Now I can't find that article. Please let me know what model of green laser pointer is easiest to open and remove the laser module assembly from it.

Look on instructables.com. The criteria I remember is something about a chip on the board inside. That was a long while ago tho. Probably different now.
